16/10/2020House Football FinalAfter a competitive week round of matches the final between Terra and Ventus houses produced a tight match with Ventus winning 2-0 in the dying minutes of the game. Well done to Toby and his team.
16/10/2020One TreeVentus house arranged a non-uniform day in support of the One Tree charity. The pupils organised an assembly to raise awareness of the work of the charity, raising £157 which will go towards planting trees around the world.
16/10/2020House Drama CompetitionThe Drama Department held their House Drama Competition which was won by Terra House. There was a group selected from each house that were chosen to perform their mystery stories to the rest of the school. It was a great opportunity to be able to perform at the South Essex College outdoor auditorium which really added to the atmosphere and excitement of the competition. All four performances were excellent and really showed a promising start to Drama this year. However, Terra house won the students' votes with their entertaining and humorous piece. Well done Terra house!
15/10/2020House Netball FinalOur athletic year 7 students participated in a fun netball house competition. After intense battles taking place during lunchtimes, Aqua and Silva qualified for the final. A crowd of hopeful, noisy supporters watched eagerly in anticipation. At the end of normal time the scores were 6-6 and in the shoot out Aqua prevailed!

01/10/2020Poetry WeekNational Poetry Day has been celebrated this week with pupils and staff. Pupils have written poetry together and read poems in and out of class. Brandon, Abe, Sarah, Fadeelah and Callum recited poems at a lunchtime gathering of poets. Life is a colour many indeed Some people well some people choose green Green is for envy not the best to choose But some people have nothing to lose Others pick blue, so humble and mild While others pick red so aggressive and wild Life is a colour what a hearty crew But the question is What colour are you?
