Work Experience at Thames Park School

At Thames Park, we are committed to equipping our students with the skills, confidence, and insight they need to thrive in the world of work. Our comprehensive work experience programme runs from Year 7 through Year 10, offering a range of opportunities that grow with our students.

Each year, students in Years 7 to 10 take part in our “Take Your Child to Work Day”, giving them a unique chance to observe real workplaces and explore career possibilities through the experiences of their parents or carers. In Year 8, students also participate in a dedicated on-site work experience day, engaging in practical tasks and gaining a taste of professional responsibility within the school setting.

As they progress, students benefit from a week-long work experience placement, in Year 10, where they immerse themselves in a working environment, build employability skills, and reflect on their future aspirations.
